Meet Alec Greven, the 9 year-old author of the book “How to Talk to Girls”
This not a book I endorse. This is being republished here to show-case how ridiculous the self-help industry has become with adults taking advice from a 9-year old…
Alec Greven is a 9-year old Colorado fourth-grader who wrote a 46-page self-help book called “How to Talk to Girls” and has been featured on CNN and other shows. He wrote it last year as a handwritten pamphlet that he sold for $3 at his school book fair. Supposedly he wrote it after he noticed his buddies were having some trouble talking to girls. The book is said to be targeted for all ages “from eight to eighty”.
Here’s just a sampling of his advice:
- Comb your hair and don’t wear sweats
- Control your hyperness and cut down on sugar if necessary
- Don’t act desperate
- A crush is like a love disease that can drive you mad
- It is easy to spot pretty girls because they have big earrings, fancy dresses and all the jewelry but are like cars that need a lot of oil
Damn… sounds like this kid has been reading dating tips from seduction community.
Smart kid! In fact Fox has bought the rights for a film adaptation of the book for somewhere in the low six figures. CA-CHING!!!
On top of all that, Alex is striking while the iron is hot by coming out with How to Talk to Moms in March and How to Talk to Dads in April. So should I assume “How to Talk to Moms” is about picking up MILFs? If that logic prevails, I don’t even want to know what “How to Talk to Dads” is about…
Some interesting comments on the New York Post article about this author and his book.
I’ll end this post with a video with some dating tips by Alec…
